Coolidge Debate offers three types of tournaments. League tournaments are held in regions with substantial Coolidge Debate activity and do not award bids to the Coolidge Cup. Open tournaments, our most common type, are part of the Coolidge National Tournament Series and award Coolidge Cup bids. Finally, the Presidents’ Cup and Coolidge Cup are our two Cup tournaments, the program’s most prestigious events, and offer substantial cash prizes. The Coolidge Cup serves as our national championship and requires qualification through one of the tournaments or contests that awards bids during the year. The schedule below includes these tournaments, along with workshops and other Coolidge speech and debate events.
