Coolidge State Historic Site Opening Day

Join us at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site on the first on day of the 2019 season and experience one of America’s best-preserved presidential birthplaces. The 600-acre site features historic buildings and artifacts from the President’s era. See the modest home where President Coolidge was born, step inside the family homestead where Coolidge took the presidential oath of office, visit the warm, wood-paneled historic church where the Coolidge family worshiped, and end your visit at the humble grave site where President Coolidge rests alongside his family.

Additionally you’ll be able to tour the Summer White House of 1924, walk through historic barns, see the store once operated by the Coolidge family, sample cheeses made at the Plymouth Cheese Factory founded by Coolidge’s father, and gain inspiration from the serenity of the surrounding hills.

The Museum and Education Center features award-winning educational exhibits that tell the story of Calvin Coolidge’s rise from a boyhood in the family homestead to the White House in Washington, D.C. Families will especially enjoy this season’s special exhibit Presidential Menagerie on the Coolidge family pets!
