Dear Papa—
I write to let you know that I am pretty well but have some cold.
We have had a very hard storm here.
I went down to P-ville Tuesday night.
Uncle Farmer started back Wed. so he must have been caught in the storm. How is grandma Moore now.
School has only two more weeks to keep, so you need not come down after me untill it is done.
Send me down my under-clothes if you can get a chance.
I shall need about $30.00 dollars to settle up with.
What do you think Abbies’ coming to school here this spring? I think she had better, if you want she should commence a course here next fall.
She could go in with the class in Algebra and go through this spring, but if she does not come untill fall she will have to commence at the beginning, for Sherman says mot any class shall begin this spring, and so loose one third of two terms.
It takes one term too to get used to the ways and know what you are about, before you can do very good work.
If you decide to have her come I think you can get her boarded here, Mrs. Morgan too wants some boarders.
This Spring the School will be held at the school house on the hill, beside the old Academy.
It is getting so dark now that I cannot see so I must close
