Letter from Calvin Coolidge to his Father

Date: August 29, 1915

Context: Coolidge writes of his allies’ campaign efforts.

Dear Father,

Your letter of a few days ago came to me at Boston.

I really cannot tell much about my campaign. I hope you will not be in any way disappointed if I do not win. I have the men with me of whom we may be proud. The fighting need of both the McCall campaign and the Cushing campaign serves with me.

I am sending you some folders.

Your Son

Calvin Coolidge
