Douglass Maynard is a partner at Lankler, Siffert, and Wohl.
He has served as a partner and General Counsel at Akin LLP, where he was responsible for managing legal, regulatory, and other areas of risk, including information governance and cybersecurity, global regulatory compliance, business and ethical conflicts, and claims and potential claims. He is on the New York State Attorney Grievance Committee for the First Judicial Department, as well as the Professional Responsibility Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
Doug has served as Deputy Commissioner for Legal Matters at the NYPD. Earlier in his career, he was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, where he investigated, tried, and handled the appeals of a broad range of criminal cases, including RICO violations, bank fraud, money laundering, and drug trafficking.
He received his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the New York University Law School.
