Catherine M. Nelson is CEO of The Rutland Herald, which publishes the Times Argus and the New England Business Journals, encompassing the Champlain Business Journal, Rutland Business Journal, and the Valley Business Journal.
A native of Chicago, Ms. Nelson has managed and published more than 100 titles, including dailies, alternative, and community weeklies from around the country, and has worked in both major and micro cities, including Boston, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Missoula, Montana. Ms. Nelson has consulted for international publications in Australia, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. Ms. Nelson is a well-known seminar speaker and consultant and has developed specialized training and management programs for the newspaper industry. She serves on numerous boards of directors for charitable organizations in Vermont, and is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation.
