Alice W. Nitka

20110425nitkaAliceFullSenator Alice W. Nitka is a Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate, representing the Windsor District (which includes Plymouth Notch). She was first elected to the chamber in 2006. Alice previously served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006. A 1967 graduate of Russell Sage College, Alice has worked as an adoption social worker for the Vermont Achievement Center, Inc., and currently works as a social worker for Eckerd Youth Alternatives in Ludlow.  She is married to Martin Nitka, and they have two daughters, Abigail and Molly. Alice and Martin reside in Ludlow, Vt.
