Michael Keiser

Mike Keiser founded (in 1971) Recycled Paper Greetings, which grew to be America’s fourth-largest card company.

Mike’s second great entrepreneurial success has been in golf. Inspired by the great golf courses of Scotland and Ireland, Mike entered the golf business and, ignoring the advice of experts, built a true links-style course in Oregon. At Bandon Dunes, golf is played as it was meant to be: on fun, beautiful courses that emphasize the natural landscape. Bandon Dunes has redefined the game of golf in America and become a destination for golfers everywhere.

Following the same model, Mike has developed other award-winning courses around the world, including in Wisconsin, Nova Scotia, Tasmania, and elsewhere. Mike’s further commitments—to the caddies, greens crews, and staff at his resorts; to the communities in which they’re located; and to deep environmental stewardship—enhance the singular appeal of these immensely popular courses.

Mike and his wife Lindy live in Chicago and support many important causes. Mike is a graduate of Calvin Coolidge’s own alma mater, Amherst College.
