Mimi Baird was born in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Colby Sawyer College. She grew up and lived in the Boston suburban area as well as Providence, RI. While living in Providence, she was involved with Providence Preservation Society, the Historical Society, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art and served on the Board of Trustees of the Wheeler School. Mimi moved to Woodstock in 1997, where she had spend many summers as a child.
After working for 16 years at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Mimi retired and joined the Coolidge Foundation Board of Trustees. She served on the following committees: fund raising, special events, 75th Homestead Inaugural, communications, archives, website and strategic planning. She served as president of the Foundation for 4 years and is currently the chair of the Capital Campaign Committee.
Besides the Coolidge Foundation, Mimi is secretary of the Woodstock Community Trust, was a trustee of the Vermont Historical Society, chaired the Committee for the Celebration of Hiram Powers in 2005, and has participated in various other local and statewide projects.
