July 2-4: Coolidge Cup National Championship

The Coolidge Foundation is setting out to find the top debaters in America. The Coolidge Cup National Debate Tournament begins in winter 2016 with regional qualifying tournaments and an online speech entry competition. Top placers from these qualifying events will earn the right to compete in the Coolidge Cup Championship Tournament taking place July 2-4, 2016 in President Coolidge’s historic village, the picturesque town of Plymouth Notch, Vermont. Qualifiers earn a free trip to Vermont to compete. More than $10,000 in scholarships and prizes will be awarded to the winners of the 2016 Coolidge Cup.
Coolidge Cup Championship Tournament
DATE: Saturday, July 2, 2016 thru Monday, July 4, 2016
LOCATION: The President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site, Plymouth Notch, Vermont
ELIGIBILITY: All students, in grades 7-12 during the 2015-2016 school year are eligible to compete in the Coolidge Cup Competition. Students compete at regional qualifying competitions to earn the right to appear at the Coolidge Cup Championship Tournament.
PRIZES: The overall champion will receive the $7,500 Robert L. Luddy-Coolidge Cup Award. A total of $10,000 will be awarded to the top finishers.
