Join us on Wednesday, October 21, at 12:00 PM Eastern, for our next Coolidge Virtual Event. Gov. Jim Douglas will be interviewing Craig Fehrman, author of the newly published Author in Chief: The Untold Story of Our Presidents and the Books They Wrote. After the interview, there will be time for audience questions. To register for this event, please email Joanna McCool (jmccool@coolidgefoundation.org), who will confirm your registration and send you the Zoom link on the day of the event.

Calvin Coolidge emerges as an unexpected hero in this new book by Craig Fehrman, who describes many behind-the-scenes stories of presidential literature, tracing back to America’s Founding, with Thomas Jefferson’s Notes on the State of Virginia and John Adams’ Autobiography. Fehrman also discusses the works of many other presidents such as Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama and more. The book not only examines presidential discourse and the process of crafting it, but also artfully connects how it fits into our broader culture. Over ten years in the making, Author in Chief offers an entertaining, yet well researched and in-depth historic perspective on presidential life, education and literature.

If you are interested in reading Craig Fehrman’s book before our virtual event, now is the time to purchase it! Visit Amazon to order it online today. We look forward to you joining us in October!
