Honoring Thomas F. Cooley

The Coolidge Foundation mourns the passing of Coolidge Trustee Tom Cooley. As a trustee, Tom was instrumental in the creation and structuring of the Coolidge Scholarship and Senators Program, which now brings 100 high schoolers and college students to Plymouth Notch, Vermont or Coolidge House in Washington each year to learn about values Tom and Coolidge himself treasured: academic effort, civility, and respect for entrepreneurship. Tom threw himself into mentoring individual Scholars and Senators as they moved from high school to college. Tom’s experience as university dean and scholar, as well as scholarship judge and steward, added incalculably to the launch of this young and successful endeavor. Honor Tom with a gift to the program he loved. Please contact Coolidge Fund President Matthew Denhart at mdenhart@coolidgefoundation.org, or (740) 590-3377 with any questions.
