New Docent Orientation: Coolidge is Looking for a Few Good Volunteers

The summer season is quickly coming and the Coolidge Foundation needs volunteer docents to help lead tours of the historic site for school groups. There's no set schedule, you volunteer whenever you are able. We rely on our volunteer docents to support the State of Vermont's efforts to make the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site accessible to all school students in the region. If you live in the central Vermont or Upper Valley areas and are willing to lend a helping hand, please contact our education director Diane Kemble. We will host a docent orientation luncheon here at the historic site on Thursday, April 28th at 11 AM.

June 30 – July 4: Coolidge Retreat

Save the date, June 28 to July 4, for the first annual Coolidge Retreat. Join leading policy experts for a frank discussion of "Citizenship, the Constitution, and Immigration." The retreat will also include an excursion to historic Bretton Woods and the chance to participate in Fourth of July festivities at Plymouth Notch.

July 2-4: Coolidge Cup National Championship

The Coolidge Cup National Debate Tournament is seeking out America's top debaters. The Cup Championship takes place July 2-4, 2016 in historic Plymouth Notch, Vermont.

We are very pleased to report that Judge Edith Jones, federal appeals judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, will deliver the keynote address at our annual Summer Gala, July 2, in Plymouth Notch. Judge Jones’s gala speech will be address: “The Scalia Legacy and the future of the Supreme Court.” A gala invitation is forthcoming, but for now, SAVE THE DATE!
